Vacant seat on the parish council

Cllr. Lorraine Palmer has resigned her seat on the parish council. Although Lorraine was only on the council for a short period, she has played a vital role in many aspects of the council’s operation including serving as Vice-Chairman, covering much of the day-to-day running of the council whilst there was no clerk in post, and contributing to the opposition to inappropriate development in the village.

This resignation means that there is now a vacant seat. As no election has been called for, the council is now able to co-opt a new member to the vacancy.

If you are interested, you can find out more about co-option in our Co-option policy and download application forms. Please contact the Clerk or speak to any of the current parish councillors if you have any questions.
