The council is subject to the Accounts and Audit Regulations 2015, meaning we must have an ‘internal audit’ each year. This is NOT carried out by anyone within Cromhall Parish Council, but by an independent auditor appointed by the council. Depending on the total amount of funding received or spent in the year, we are also sometimes subject to external audit. These are carried out by BDO LLP, an accountancy firm appointed by the Smaller Authorities Audit Appointments Ltd.
